A woman shows hack to get free extra luggage on a plane using a pillow cover

If you’ve ever booked what you believed to be bargain flights, only to discover your luggage will cost more than the flight itself, you’re not alone.

So, the chances are you’ll know exactly what it’s like to throw caution to the wind and decide hand luggage will do, before later realising you have enough clothes to fill five regular suitcases. The struggle is real.

Anyway, one clever traveller has come up with a nifty way to sneak more luggage onto your flight, without having to pay over the odds for extra baggage – all you need is a travel pillow.

Anya Iakovlieva, who goes by the handle @nolimitua on TikTok, shared a video of herself stuffing items of clothing inside her pillow case before zipping it up and hiding away the evidence.

The TikToker could then be seen balancing the pillow on top of her suitcase, before sitting and hugging it after successfully getting it on the plane.

The clip, titled, “the best travel hack ever – pillow flies for free,” is accompanied by audio which says, “nobody’s gonna’ know, how will they know?” prompting some users to suggest that airport security might pick up on the hidden items.

“How would they know? I call it X-ray,” one TikTok user commented, to which another responded: “X-ray has nothing to do with bag fees. That’s for security, the airlines impose the bag fees.”

Meanwhile, another joked: “Now everyone will know, they’re going to start charging pillow fees by 2022.”

One cynical commenter wrote: “Come on, they don’t even allow a handbag/purse on some flights, there is no way a pillow is gonna’ fly.” However, Anya responded insisting it has worked like a charm in all of the six times she’s attempted to hide luggage in her pillow.
